Define your team’s default — async-first or sync-first — to protect focus time.

Async vs. Real-Time
- Use Slack for urgent messages during core hours (10 AM–3 PM CET).
- Use Notion for task updates, documentation, and long-form discussion.
- Avoid meetings if a clear async update can solve the problem.
Response Times
- Messages in Slack: respond within 4 hours during core hours.
- Notion comments or tasks: respond within 24 hours.
- Emails: respond within 48 hours unless marked urgent.
Tone & Style
- Be concise and clear. Use bullet points for easier reading.
- Default to assume good intent — critique ideas, not people.
- Include context in messages: who, what, why, next steps.
Meeting Etiquette
- Start and end on time.
- Share agendas in advance and take notes in Notion.
- Summarize key decisions and assign next steps immediately after the meeting.
Documentation First
- Before asking a question, check if the answer exists in Notion.
- Keep documentation updated and link relevant pages instead of duplicating info.
